After a fun long weekend of being sick about every day of it, I’m back and ready for a new site to waste time at!

Want to see what your site looked like 10 years ago or maybe  just 5 years ago?  How about before the last overhaul in 2007?  The Internet Archive keeps track of that stuff…sort of (why is there always a caveat!! ).   It doesn’t necessarily have every page and graphics may be missing but you can at least get a feel for what your site, or another, looked like.  Another nice use is to see what your domain, or prospective domain, may have been in a prior life with a different owner.  You can also sign up and start having your site show up and maintain your archive.

Just pop over to the the Internet Archive and type in the site you’d like to see come back (again, sort of) from the dead…and not the living dead like the last entry.

We’ve all probably either played or heard of the home version but now it’s time to play the online version! Test your knowledge against the always witty You Don’t Know Jack! Do you have what it takes? There are over 100 episodes so you can get lost playing this for quite a while. Just make sure that conference room doesn’t have windows!

Design a plane and blitz your friends is the intro at Paper Pilot: Battle of the Air.  Choose the paper weight, elevator angle and throw in winglets on your square plane design and set to the skies!  Do some practice runs with your plane and once you’re happy you can send out a challenge to 5 friends.  The only thing that isn’t very exciting is the fact that it’s only one round and one throw in the challenge mode.  I’d like to either see best of 3 throws or maybe a total score of 3 throws.  Regardless, it’s something to waste time on.

Another oldie but goodie!  Virtual bubblewrap has been around since 1996 (according to the website) and while I recall spending some time popping bubbles, it was without the awe-inspiring scoreboard which now graces the site.  I was able to hit the top 50 a few times.  Check it out at Virtual-Bubblewrap.com.

I listen to a little of everything including country.  Mike submitted something to The Sounds of Christmas last year and I added a new track this year.  I’m so amazed by his vocals that I thought I’d make him the site of the day.

Who hasn’t heard of woot.com?  Well shame on you! We’ll forgive you but only if you check the site out!   The home of the original one deal a day site.  woot has expanded in recent years to include wine.woot.com featuring deals on wine and cheese, shirts.woot.com featuring a shirt day from user submitted art and sellout.woot.com in a partnership with Yahoo (hence the “sellout” term).  They also feature a (typically) funny daily “wootcast” that you can find off the main page.

woot is also famous for their Bag of Crap (AKA BOC, Bandolier of Carrots, etc.) and woot-offs that run deals back to back until their preset stock has sold out.  You can check out their FAQ to read about these items and the site in general.

The guys over at 360Voice.com has a great website that tracks how your Xbox 360 is feeling.  Whether it’s mad, sad, happy or who knows what else since I don’t know that mine has ever made it past being happy!   It also lists all the games you’ve played and some general statistics of all the users registered at the site.
