Microsoft has a great utility for backing up files from one PC to another or to another drive with little effort. You select the source folders that you’d like to have backed up, select a backup folder (they call it folder pairs) and click run and it does the work for you. There are 3 options to choose: Synchronize, Echo or Contribute. Synchronize will allow you sync files from both sources with the most current. This would be handy if you have a few PCs that you like to keep the files up-to-date with the most current versions. Echo is just a straight backup from your source folders to the share. The files that have been modified or deleted in your source folder are deleted or updated on the backup folder. Contribute is similar to echo but no files are deleted.
