<p style="text-align: justify;">Microsoft has a great utility for backing up files from one PC to another or to another drive with little effort.  You select the source folders that you&#8217;d like to have backed up, select a backup folder (they call it folder pairs) and click run and it does the work for you.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">There are 3 options to choose:  Synchronize, Echo or Contribute.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Synchronize </strong>will allow you sync files from both sources with the most current.  This would be handy if you have a few PCs that you like to keep the files up-to-date with the most current versions.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Echo </strong>is just a straight backup from your source folders to the share.  The files that have been modified or deleted in your source folder are deleted or updated on the backup folder.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Contribute </strong>is similar to echo but no files are deleted.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">You can grab a copy at <a title="Microsoft SyncToy 2.0 Download" href="http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c26efa36-98e0-4ee9-a7c5-98d0592d8c52&amp;displaylang=en" target="_blank">Microsoft.com</a>!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Here&#8217;s a quick screenshot (click to enlarge):</p>
<p><a href="http://www.thequick10.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/microsoft-synctoy-2.jpg"><img class="alignleft size-medium wp-image-73" title="microsoft-synctoy-2" src="http://www.thequick10.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/microsoft-synctoy-2-300x221.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="221" /></a><br />
The errors are because I choose some profile options and some files are locked.  Remember it&#8217;s not a complete backup solution but works nicely for data if you have a large amount.</p>
